The Company has today received notification from Ashley Almanza that, on

28 July 2011, he exercised an option to purchase 1,340 Ordinary Shares of 10p each ("Shares") under the terms of the BG Group Sharesave Scheme at an option price of £7.16 per Share.

As a result, Mr Almanza's interests in the ordinary share capital of BG Group plc have increased to 127,610 Shares, representing 0.004% of the Shares in issue.
