Compass Group PLC (the "Company") announces the following change in the interests of a Director in ordinary shares of 10 pence each in the share capital of the Company ("Shares").

On 27 September 2013, John Bason, a Non-executive Director of the Company, purchased 1,760 Shares at a price of 849.50 pence each per Share.

Following this transaction, Mr Bason's shareholding has increased to 8,454 Shares, representing 0.0004% of the Company's issued share capital.
