Hargreaves Lansdown plc (the "Company") received notification today from Lee Gardhouse, a PDMR, that on 21st December 2012, he bought a total of 17,770 Hargreaves Lansdown PLC 0.4p ordinary shares at a price of 689 pence per share.

The total number of ordinary shares purchased represents 0.0037% of the ordinary shares in issue.

Following this transaction, the beneficial shareholding of Lee Gardhouse (including his connected persons) is 961,884 ordinary shares representing 0.20% of the ordinary shares in issue.

Hargreaves Lansdown (Nominees) Limited is the registered shareholder as nominee for the above PDMR. The transaction took place in Bristol on 21st December 2012.
