Persimmon plc ("the Company") announces that on 1 December 2011 the Company was informed that on that same day Mike Killoran, Group Finance Director and Jeff Fairburn, North Division Chief Executive exercised options as follows to purchase shares under the Company's SAYE scheme.

As a result of these transactions, Mike Killoran and his wife's interest in the Company's shares increased to 475,758 shares or 0.16% of the issued share capital of the Company and Jeff Fairburn and his wife's interest increased to 41,214 shares or 0.01% of the issued share capital. Both percentages exclude treasury shares.
The issued share capital of the Company on 1 December 2011 is 301,989,666 ordinary shares (excluding treasury shares).
