Greene King plc announces that on 16 July the following executive directors acquired the following numbers of ordinary shares in the market at the price of 423.48p per share.

Ian Bull 5,137
David Elliott 1,268
Jonathan Lawson 1,732
In addition Jonathan Webster, a person discharging managerial responsibilities, acquired 4,472 shares at the same price.
The shares have been acquired in accordance with a Deferred Bonus Scheme introduced this year. The shares will be forfeited in the event that the relevant director leaves the group, other than as a good leaver, before the end of December 2010.
