Interests in the Ordinary Shares of Cable and Wireless plc ("the Company")
The Company was notified on 23rd and 26th February 2007 that the Trustees of Cable and Wireless plc Employee Share Ownership Trust ("the Trust") made the following disposal of shares:
* 98,615 Ordinary Shares at a price of ‚£1.7575 per share on 22nd February 2007; and * 45,562 Ordinary Shares at a price of ‚£1.7725 per share on 23rd February 2007.
Following the disposals, 37,440,649 Ordinary Shares are held under the Trust. George Battersby, Harris Jones, John Pluthero and Tony Rice (all being directors of Cable and Wireless plc), in their capacity as members of the class of beneficiaries under the Trust, and Towers Perrin Share Plan Services (GSY) Limited, in their capacity as Trustees of the Trust, are deemed to have a non-beneficial interest in these Ordinary Shares.
No Directors are disposing of any beneficial interests in the Company.
