Hochschild Mining plc ("the Company") announces the purchase of 26,530 Ordinary Shares of 25p each in the Company ("Shares") by Dionisio Romero, a Non-Executive Director of the Company, at a price of £2.4865 per Share.

The transaction took place on 29 September 2008 on the London Stock Exchange and was notified to the Company on 30 September 2008.
