The SIP trustee, Equiniti Share Plan Trustees Limited (the "Trustee"), notifiedthe Company on 10 Janaury 2008 that the following Directors of the Companyacquired Shares under the SIP on 7 January 2008, in each case, held by theTrustee: Director Number of Aggregate number of Shares held beneficially Shares acquired* following acquisition (across all accounts) Daryl Rees 848 21,293 Piers Morgan 848 21,293 \* The number of Shares acquired includes 424 Partnership Shares purchased by eachof these Directors at 29.5 pence and 424 Matching Shares issued to each of theseDirectors under a Block Listing arrangement. Both partnership and matchingelements are registered in the name of the Trustee. The SIP operates as follows: Each month the Trustee uses participants' contributions (which may not exceed£125 per participant per month) to purchase shares in the market. These sharesare called "Partnership Shares". At the same time the Company allots to participants via the Trustee one"Matching Share" for every Partnership Share purchased that month.
