DIRECTORS' INTERESTS IN SHARES
The Company was notified on 5 May 2011 that on 4 May 2011 the following Director purchased ordinary shares of 25 pence each in Hammerson plc under the Partnership Shares element of the Hammerson plc Share Incentive Plan at a price of £4.7750 pence per share. Under the terms of the Plan he was also awarded ordinary shares of 25 pence each in Hammerson plc on 4 May 2011 at a price of £4.7750 per share under the Matching Shares element of the Plan. The shares are held by a nominee.
