The notification set out below is provided in accordance with the requirements of the EU Market Abuse Regulation.
Standard Life plc ('the Company') was advised on 21 October 2016 by Capita IRG Trustees Limited that on 21 October 2016 the Trustees of The Standard Life Share Plan ('SLSP') purchased ordinary shares of 122/9 pence each in the Company on the London Stock Exchange on behalf of the executive directors and other persons discharging managerial responsibilities listed below.
The shares were purchased as a result of the reinvestment of the 2016 interim dividend for participants in the SLSP. The purchase price was £3.262000 per share.
