Amerisur Resources Plc, the oil and gas explorer and developer focused on South America, announces that directors of the Company have purchased a total of 7,000,000 ordinary shares in the Company on 23 October 2008. The amounts of the individual purchases and the resultant beneficial shareholdings are noted below. Purchases were made at a price of 2.77 and 2.90 pence per share.
