Notification of Transactions of Persons Discharging Managerial Responsibilities or Connected Persons
On 18 May 2009, each of the following Persons Discharging Managerial Responsibility ("PDMR") of Balfour Beatty plc ("the Company") was granted options over the Company's 50p Ordinary Shares under the Balfour Beatty Savings-Related Share Option Scheme 2001, pursuant to an Invitation issued to all eligible employees of the Company:

The options related to 3 Year savings contracts will be exercisable between 1 July 2012 and 31 December 2012.
The options related to 5 Year savings contracts will be exercisable between 1 July 2014 and 31 December 2014.
Each of the transactions concerned took place in London and the option exercise price is 286p per 50p Ordinary Share.
