UNITED BUSINESS MEDIA PLC FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE The Company was notified on 9 June 2006 of dealings in its Ordinary Shares of305/14 pence each ("United Shares") by the Trustee of the United Business MediaQualifying Employee Share Ownership Trust (the "QUEST"), which is adiscretionary trust for the benefit of UK employees (including executivedirectors) of the United Group, in connection with the exercise of SAYEoptions:Transactions on 9 June 2006Total shares transferred: Price per Share (p): 71,241 160.48 1,382 488.3 713 514.8 The shares were transferred to employees who exercised options granted underthe group's SAYE Schemes at the above exercise prices, none of whom were mainboard directors or PDMRs.Following the above transactions, the Trustee of the QUEST holds a total of148,495 United Shares, representing 0.05% of the Company's issued sharecapital.
