Speedy Hire PLC20 July 2005 Speedy Hire Plc ("Speedy Hire" or the "Company") Directors and Persons Discharging Managerial Responsibility ("PDMR") - Interestin Shares - Amendment The following announcement replaces the announcement released at 12:52 on 15July 2005 under RNS number: 93720. Andrew C Simpson's Total Matching SharesHeld under CIP now reads 123,194 in place of 104,502 and Neil C O'Brien's TotalMatching Shares Held under CIP now reads 90,914 in place of 109,606. All otherdetails remain unchanged. Speedy Hire announces the following changes to Directors' and PDMR's interestsin the Company's ordinary 5p shares ("Shares"). Share Awards, sale of shares by the Company's Employee Benefits Trust ("EBT")and corresponding Share Purchases by Directors and PDMR Awards were made on Thursday 14 July 2005 under the Speedy Hire PerformanceShare Plan ("PSP") and awards of Matching Shares have also been made under theSpeedy Hire Co-Investment Plan ("CIP"). These Plans were approved byshareholders at the AGM in July 2004. The awards comprise rights to acquireShares at nil cost, subject to the rules of the Plans and to the applicableperformance targets. CIP Sale and Purchase of Shares In accordance with the rules of the CIP, the Directors and PDMR have purchasedShares all at 724p per share as indicated below.
