NOTIFICATION OF TRANSACTIONS OF DIRECTORS AND PERSONS DISCHARGING MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITY ("PDMRs")
United Business Media plc has today been notified of the following transfers of shares in the company made on 9 March 2007 by the Trustees of the United Business Media plc ESOP Trust to the following PDMRs, following the exercise of options granted under the Medium Term Incentive Plan ("MTIP").

On 9 March, United Business Media plc was notified of an exercise of an option by Anne Siddell, a PDMR on 9 March 2007 over 3,947 Ordinary shares under the 1994 UK approved Executive Share Option Scheme, granted on 25 September 1997 at an exercise price of 760 pence per share and 16,053 Ordinary shares under the 1994 International Executive Share Option Scheme, granted on 25 September 1997 at an exercise price of 742 pence per share .
All the Ordinary shares were sold on 9 March 2007 at a price of 793.5 pence per share.
As a result of the above dealings, the above-mentioned PDMRs hold options over the following shares in the company:
