John Wood Group PLC ("Company")
The Company was informed that on 23 August 2007, the Trustees of the John Wood Group PLC US Employee Share Trust ("US EST"):
* sold 13,848 ordinary shares in the capital of the Company at ‚£3.325 per share, being 0.0026% of the share capital of the Company pursuant to exercises of share options under the John Wood Group PLC 2003 Long Term Retention Plan.
Following these transactions, the US EST holds a total of 5,939,718 ordinary shares representing 1.134% of the share capital of the Company.
The class of discretionary beneficiaries for whom the US EST holds such shares consists of employees of the Company, including the following executive directors of the Company: Wendell R Brooks and Alan G Semple. Each of such directors is accordingly deemed to be beneficially interested in the shares held by the US EST.
The transaction noted above does not involve any of the Company's directors or any persons discharging managerial responsibility.
