Kazakhmys PLC (the "Company")

NOTIFICATION OF TRANSACTIONS OF DIRECTORS,

PERSONS DISCHARGING MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITY OR CONNECTED PERSONS

Pursuant to DTR 3.1.4, Kazakhmys PLC has been notified that The Hakina Trust and Perry Partners S.A., which hold ordinary shares of 20 pence each in the Company ('ordinary shares') on behalf of Vladimir Kim, Chairman of the Company, have transferred 50,735,450 ordinary shares and 8,141,343 ordinary shares, respectively, into the name of Vladimir Kim for nil consideration.

Following this transaction, The Hakina Trust ceases to hold any ordinary shares in the Company and Perry Partners S.A. holds 13,362,470 ordinary shares in the Company on behalf of Vladimir Kim which represents approximately 2.50% of the total shares in issue.

Subsequent to the above transaction, Vladimir Kim has disposed of the 58,876,793 ordinary shares of 20 pence each in Kazakhmys PLC (representing 11.00% of the total shares in issue) transferred into his own name via a placing and subsequent sale on the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange for KZT 3,363 per share, based on a closing mid-market price of 1,423 pence per share, as derived from the Official List of the London Stock Exchange, on 4 October 2010.

Following the above transactions, Vladimir Kim holds 149,306,795 ordinary shares through various investment vehicles, including Perry Partners S.A., which represents 27.90% of the total shares in issue.
