Unite Group PLC16 October 2006 THE UNITE GROUP PLC 16 OCTOBER 2006 The UNITE Group plc (the "Company") DEALING BY DIRECTOR On 13 October 2006, the Company was informed by the trustees of The GeoffreyMaddrell Jersey Trust (the beneficiaries of which include Mr Geoffrey Maddrell,Chairman of The UNITE Group plc, his wife and his three children), that, on 12October 2006, they sold 30,946 shares in the Company (representing 0.025% of itscurrent issued share capital) at a price of 477p per share. Following the above referred to sale, Mr Maddrell is interested in 247,541shares in the Company, representing 0.201% of its current issued share capital.Included in those interests are 12,250 shares held by Winifred Maddrell (MrMaddrell's wife), and the 170,291 shares that continue to be held by thetrustees of the Geoffrey Maddrell Jersey Trust.
