Legal & General Group PLC04 February 2008 Legal & General Group Plc Legal & General Group Employee Share Plan In common with all eligible employees, each of the executive directors of Legal& General Group Plc ("the Group") has been invited to apply for partnershipshares under the Legal & General Group Employee Share Plan ("the Plan") on amonthly basis. On 1 February 2008, each executive director chose to contributeto purchase the following partnership shares: Partnership Shares C. R. R. Avery 94 T. J. Breedon 94 A. W. Palmer 94 J. B. Pollock 94 The Group matched these shares, on a one-to-one basis, up to £20 per month.Accordingly, each executive director, with the exception of J. B. Pollock,received 16 matching shares; J. B. Pollock received 15 matching shares. Theshares were purchased at a price of 132.66p per share. Hoskin 94 The Group matched these shares, on a one-to-one basis, up to £20 per month.Accordingly, each Senior Manager received 15 matching shares. Differences aredue to rounding from previous allocations. The shares were purchased at a priceof 132.66p per share. Non Executive Directors' purchases On 1 February 2008, the following non-executive directors of the Group purchasedthe following ordinary shares of 2.5p each ("shares") in the Group at a price of133.90p per share.
