Notification of Transaction of Directors, Persons Discharging Managerial Responsibility or Connected Persons

This notification relates to a transaction notified in accordance with Disclosure Rules 3.1.4R(1)(a).

On 13th June 2011, Brewin Dolphin Holdings PLC (LSE:BRW) received notification that Barry Howard, a Director, has today exercised options totalling 10,000 ordinary shares of 1 pence each ("Ordinary Shares") (6,000 at a price of 81.3p each and 4,000 at a price 145p each) pursuant to the Company's Approved Share Option Scheme December 2003 and December 2005 grants.

His resultant holding in Ordinary Shares in the Company is now 224,721 ordinary shares (of which 125,234 are nil paid), representing approximately 0.0970% of the total issued share capital of the Company and the total number of shares over which options are held by him is 187,960.
