Scottish & Southern Energy PLC02 July 2007 SHARE INCENTIVE PLAN The Company was notified on 29 June 2007 by Computershare Investor Services plc,the provider of the all employee Share Incentive Plan ('SIP'), of the followingpurchases on 29 June 2007 in the Company's ordinary shares:- (a) that 31,167 shares were purchased and allocated at £14.40 pershare using participating employees' gross salary ('Partnership Shares'). (b) that the Company matched the Partnership Shares purchased byemployees and allocated a further 23,373 shares at £14.40 per share ('MatchingShares'). The Company gives employees 1 Matching Share for each PartnershipShare bought by them up to a maximum of 5 Matching Shares per employee, eachmonth. The purchase, referred to above, was made pursuant to a regular standing orderinstruction with Computershare Investor Services plc for the monthly purchase ofPartnership Shares.
