Persimmon plc (the "Company") announces that on 1 October 2012 it was informed that on the same day Neil Davidson, Non-Executive Director sold 2,850 shares in the Company at an average price of 765.68p per share. The shares had been held in an ISA.

As a result of this transaction Neil Davidson has a beneficial interest in 35,500 shares or 0.01% of the issued share capital of the Company.

The issued share capital of the Company on 2 October 2012 is 302,738,957 ordinary shares.
