Cropper(James) PLC31 January 2008 James Cropper PLC 31 January 2008 James Cropper PLC (the 'Company') The issuer has made the following amendment to the 'Director's Shareholding'announcement released on 24 January 2008 at 9.39am under RNS number 4463M. The announcement excluded 15,000 shares that were acquired by Mark Cropper on 5January 2008. The announcement should have stated Mark Croppers total beneficial holding as979,113 representing 11.56% of the issued share capital in the Company. A full corrected version of the announcement is set out below: Directors' Shareholding The Company announces that it received notification on 23 January 2008 that onthat day Mr J. A. Cropper, a Director of the Company, together with his wifepurchased a total of 54,348 ordinary shares of 25p each in the Company ('Ordinary Shares') for £2.30 per share and that Mr M. A. J. Cropper, aDirector of the Company, purchased a total of 39,924 Ordinary Shares for £2.30per share. As a result of these transactions Mr and Mrs J. A. Cropper are interested in467,337 Ordinary Shares representing 5.52% of the issued share capital of theCompany and Mr M. A. J. Cropper is interested in 979,113 Ordinary Sharesrepresenting 11.56% of the issued share capital of the Company. These shares were purchased from Mr Peter O'Reilly who, as a result of thetransactions, no longer has a notifiable interest in the issued share capital ofthe Company. The percentage calculations are based on 8,472,368 Ordinary Shares, which is thetotal issued share capital of the Company with voting rights.
