Hilton Food Group plc announces with deep regret that Gordon Summerfield, CBE, non-executive Chairman, passed away yesterday.

Gordon was a hugely popular figure at Hilton and was highly respected in the wider food industry. His experience and wise counsel have been invaluable since he joined the Company in 2003 and he will be sadly missed by his fellow directors and all Hilton employees.

A further announcement will be made in due course regarding the allocation of Board responsibilities.
