Directorate Changes
Hansteen (LSE: HSTN), the investor in UK and continental European real estate, announces the appointments of Rebecca Worthington and Melvyn Egglenton as Non-Executive Directors, with immediate effect.
Rebecca Worthington is a Chartered Accountant with more than 20 years commercial experience having qualified with PriceWaterhouseCoopers (Coopers & Lybrand) in 1994. Rebecca is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Lodestone Capital Partners LLP, that manages and invests in UK real estate assets and debt, concentrating on distressed operational backed property, with a particular focus on healthcare, student accommodation and development. Rebecca is also a Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Audit Committee at Aga Rangemaster plc and a member of the British Property Federation and the Advisory Board of the Association of Corporate Treasurers. Rebecca's previous roles include Finance Director and then Deputy Chief Executive of Quintain Estates and Development Plc (March 1998 - October 2012 and Head of the Greenwich Peninsula regeneration project April 2011 - October 2012).
Melvyn Egglenton is a Chartered Accountant and a Fellow of the ICAEW with more than 30 years experience in practice and commerce, having qualified with KPMG in 1976 where he went on to become Senior Partner at KPMG Birmingham and Regional Chairman of KPMG Midlands. Melvyn is currently Chairman of Pendragon PLC, the UK's largest motor distributor with turnover in excess of £3.5 billion, having been appointed as a Director in December 2010 and is a current member of its Remuneration Committee and the former Chairman of the Audit Committee. Melvyn is also a Trustee of the James Family Trusts, a director of Soho Estates Holdings Limited, a Non-Executive Director, Audit Committee Chairman and Remuneration Committee Chairman of Irwin Mitchell Holdings Limited.
The Company confirms that there are no further disclosures to be made under paragraph 9.6.13 (1) to (6) of the Listing Rules in respect of either Rebecca or Melvyn.
The Board has also appointed Rebecca and Melvyn as members of both the Audit and the Remuneration Committees.

The Company also announces that the retirement of Stephen Gee from his role as Non-Executive Director as previously notified on 11 November 2013, takes effect from 9 June 2014.
James Hambro added: "I would like to thank Stephen for his significant contribution to the Board and to the Committees on which he has served in the past eight years".
