Appointment of New Non Executive Director
The Board of Go-Ahead is pleased to announce the appointment of Adrian Ewer to the Board as Non-Executive Director with effect from 25th April 2013.
Adrian is currently Chief Executive Officer of John Laing Plc, where he has held this post since 2006. Adrian began his career in accountancy before joining John Laing Plc in 1991 as Group and Divisional Financial Controller, becoming Group Finance Director in 1999. He has previously been a Non-Executive Director of the Board of Severn River Crossing plc, UK Highways M40 (Holdings) Ltd, (Chiltern Rail) and Octagon Group Limited. He is currently Vice Chairman of the Construction and Business Services Leadership Group within the Prince's Trust.
Commenting on Adrian's appointment, Andrew Allner, Senior Independent Director and Chairman designate said: "I am delighted that Adrian has accepted our invitation to join the Board. He has a wealth of experience of major long term contracts, a strong consumer focus and a flair for strategy and finance which will make a major contribution to the Board and the company".
The appointment is confirmed in accordance with paragraph 9.6.13 (1) to (6) of the UKLA Listing Rules.
