Intertek Group plc (Intertek), the leading provider of quality and safety services to a wide range of industries around the world, announces the retirement of David Allvey and Debra Rade from the Board of Directors, after serving ten and six years respectively. This follows the appointments earlier this year of Alan Brown and Michael Wareing to the Board.

The retirements will take effect on 31 December 2011. Michael Wareing will assume the role of the Senior Independent Director and be Chairman to the Audit and Risk Committee. David Reid will be Chairman of the Nominations Committee and Christopher Knight will be Chairman of the Remuneration Committee. Each of these appointments will take effect on 1 January 2012.
