14 June 2006LIBERTY INTERNATIONAL PLCAPPOINTMENT OF IAN HAWKSWORTH AS MANAGING DIRECTOR OF CAPITAL & COUNTIESLiberty International PLC ("Liberty International") is pleased to announce theappointment of Ian Hawksworth as Managing Director of Capital & Counties, awholly-owned subsidiary of Liberty International, with effect from 1 September2006. He will also be joining the Board of Liberty International as anExecutive Director, succeeding John Saggers who reaches his normal retirementdate in the Autumn and will be stepping down as Managing Director of Capital &Counties in September and as an Executive Director of Liberty International atthe end of October.John has made a significant and valuable contribution to the affairs of Capital& Counties and to the Board of Liberty International, with responsibilitieswhich have over his 33 year career with the group included UK commercialproperty, shopping centres and the group's international interests in the USand, formerly, Australia.He is very pleased to welcome as his successor Ian Hawksworth (40), a charteredsurveyor by training, who has been employed by Hongkong Land since 1993 and hasbeen an Executive Director from 1996 until 2006 when he decided to relocatewith his family to the UK. Ian's most recent role at Hongkong Land was as theDirector responsible for Commercial Property. He has also been closely involvedwith Hongkong Land's regional expansion over the last five years into otherAsian locations.
