"I would like to thank Lady Judge on behalf of the Board for her dedicated work for Friends Provident. Her roles outside Friends Provident and her international regulatory and business experience have enabled her to make a significant contribution to the Board, especially on corporate governance issues. I am very grateful to Lady Judge for the commitment to Friends Provident and for the excellent judgement she has shown over many years.
"I am delighted to welcome Rodger to the Board. He has a wealth of knowledge about the financial services sector in the UK, a great deal of international experience in Europe, the Middle East and the rest of the world. His experience will be invaluable to the Friends Provident Group and we very much look forward to working with him."
