Helphire Group PLC22 April 2008 For release at 07.00 Tuesday April 22nd 2008 HELPHIRE GROUP PLC ("Helphire") NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR APPOINTMENT Dr. REINER HAGEMANN Helphire is delighted to announce the appointment with effect from 1st May 2008of Dr. Reiner Hagemann as a non-executive director. From January 1995 to December 2005 Dr. Hagemann, aged 60, was a member of theexecutive board of Allianz AG. He was responsible for non-life business inGermany and for Allianz's operations in the UK, Ireland, Switzerland andAustria. From September 1998 until December 2005 he was also a member of thesupervisory board of director of Euler-Hermes-Credit Insurance S.A. He currently holds a number of non-executive positions including positions withFortis NV, VHV Allgemeine AG, Bayer Schering Pharmaceutical AG, Wustenrot &Wurtembergische AG, E.ON Energie AG and Hochtief Facility Management GmbH. There are no other matters required to be reported pursuant to LR9.6.3 (2) to(6) inclusive. Helphire's Chairman, Rodney Baker-Bates, commented on the appointment: "Iwelcome Dr Hagemann to the Helphire Board. He brings a wealth of both insuranceand European experience to the Board.
