Helical Bar PLC18 April 2005 18 April 2005 Helical Bar plc ("Helical Bar") HELICAL BAR APPOINTS NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR Helical Bar is pleased to announce that Wilf Weeks has been appointed to theboard as an independent non-executive director with immediate effect. Wilf Weeks (aged 57) is currently the Chairman of European Public Affairs atWeber Shandwick, one of the world's leading public relations and communicationsmanagement firms. He has specialised in Government Relations throughout hiscareer and is widely recognised as one of the pioneers of the UK public affairsindustry. Prior to setting up his public affairs consultancy, GJW, in 1980, MrWeeks worked in the 1970's as Private Secretary to former Prime Minister, EdwardHeath. Mr Weeks is currently the Chairman of the Dulwich Picture Gallery, the HeritageEducation Trust and the Development Board of the London Academy of Music andDramatic Art. He is also the Honorary Treasurer of the Hansard Society. No further details remain to be disclosed as required under chapter 16.4 of theFSA Listing Rules.
