23 September 2013 Directorate Change Daily Mail and General Trust plc Daily Mail and General Trust plc announces that, with effect from 23 September2013, it has appointed The Hon Lady Keswick as a Non-Executive Director. Lady Keswick, who is based in the UK, has a strong background in public policyand international affairs. She particularly brings extensive knowledge andexperience of Asia, which will be of benefit in supporting the Company's growthstrategy in this region. Tessa Keswick became Deputy Chairman of the Centre for Policy Studies inJanuary 2004, having been the Executive Director since 1995. She was a SpecialPolicy Advisor to the Rt Hon Kenneth Clarke QC MP from 1989-1995 working at theDepartment of Health, the Department of Education and Science, the Home officeand HM Treasury. Prior to this Tessa Keswick held appointments in advertisingand journalism, on the Daily Telegraph Magazine and the Spectator. She has contributed to, commissioned and published over 100 public policypamphlets on the European Union, the Constitution, law and order, education,health, tax and regulatory affairs and women's issues. She has written on thesesubjects for several of the national newspapers, on radio and on television.She has an interest in foreign affairs and now travels extensively,particularly in China and the Far East. In July 2007 she became a Fellow ofKing's College, London. She has also served as Borough Councillor in Kensington& Chelsea between 1982-1986.
