Paddy Power plc announces the appointment of a new non-executive Director

The Board of Paddy Power plc (the "Company") is pleased to announce the appointment today of Danuta Gray as an independent non-executive Director of the Company. Danuta has also been appointed as a member of the Remuneration Committee.

Danuta was Chief Executive Officer of O2 Ireland from 2001 to 2010. Prior to that, she held the position of Senior Vice President of BT Europe in Germany and, previous to that, was General Manager at BT Mobile in the UK.

Danuta is currently a non-executive Director of Aer Lingus plc and previously served as a non-executive Director of Irish Life & Permanent plc.

Danuta holds a B.Sc. in Biophysics and an MBA.

Commenting, Nigel Northridge, Chairman of Paddy Power plc said: "Danuta is a highly accomplished and capable director who will bring valuable consumer marketing insight and international markets expertise to Paddy Power. I warmly welcome her to the Board."
