Oxford Instruments plc Appointment of Non-Executive Director

Oxford Instruments plc, a leading provider of high-technology tools and systemsfor industry and research, is pleased to announce the appointment of ThomasGeitner as an Independent Non-Executive Director. The appointment will takeeffect from 15th January 2013, replacing Bernard Taylor who retired as aNon-Executive Director in September 2012.

Thomas has extensive international experience in the technology and engineeringsectors, having spent over thirty years in businesses operating across theglobe. These include senior board positions at Henkel AG & Co KGaA, VodafoneGroup plc and RWE-Group AG. He is currently Chairman of Bibliotheca RFIDLibrary Systems AG, and prior to that held non-executive positions at BBCWorldwide Ltd, Singulus Technologies AG and Pages Jaunes SA.
