The Board of Kier Group plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Nicholas Paul Winser as a non-executive director of the Company with effect from 1 March 2009.
Mr Winser, aged 48, is an executive director of National Grid plc.
Chairman of Kier Group plc, Mr Phil White said:
"I am very pleased that Nick is taking on this non-executive role. The diverse range of his experience acquired over many years at National Grid will add a new dimension to the board dynamic and we are very much looking forward to the vigour he will bring to the boardroom."
No other information in relation to Mr Winser is required to be disclosed pursuant to Listing Rule 9.6.13R
As at the date of this announcement, Mr Winser has no beneficial interest in the share capital of the company.
