Mike also joins the Board ofArbuthnot Banking Group. All appointments are effective from 1 October, 2007. Sir Christopher Meyer Sir Christopher Meyer, aged 63, is currently Chairman of the Press ComplaintsCommission, a role he took up in March 2003, following a distinguisheddiplomatic career. He joined the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in 1966. In1997 he was appointed as Ambassador to Germany and from 1997-2003 he wasAmbassador to the USA. Between 1994 and 1996, Sir Christopher was PressSecretary to Prime Minister John Major. Before that he had held postings inWashington, Moscow, Madrid and the European Community. Mike Bussey Mike Bussey, aged 48, is appointed Chief Executive of Arbuthnot Latham. Hesucceeds John Reed, who becomes a Vice Chairman of Arbuthnot Latham and takes upthe newly created Group role of International Business Development Director. Mike has 30 years' banking experience in retail, corporate and private banking.He was Chief Executive of the Private Banking and Trust business at N.M.Rothschild & Sons Ltd for four years, prior to which he had been Chief Executiveof Schroders Private Banking. Previously, Mike worked at HSBC for over 20 yearsin various senior managerial positions across Europe, the Middle East, SouthEast Asia, Africa and the Americas.
