The directors of Big Sofa (AIM:BST), a fast-growing international video analytics provider to the consumer insight industry, intend to appoint John Howarth as a non-executive director of Big Sofa, subject to the satisfactory outcome of regulatory due diligence. A further announcement will be made in due course.

Mr Haworth is Chief Financial Officer of Ipsos MORI UK, a UK subsidiary of Ipsos Group, one of the world's largest market research organisations and a 20% shareholder in the Company. Prior to joining Ipsos MORI UK, Mr Haworth held various global and European chief financial officer positions within the Kantar Group, one of the world's largest insight, information and consultancy groups. He has a successful track record of helping businesses to grow over more than 20 years, ranging from divisions of FTSE 100 groups to small and medium-sized enterprises.

Mr Haworth, who is London-based, will replace Laurence Stoclet, who is Paris-based, as Ipsos MORI UK's nominated director on the board of Big Sofa. Ms Stoclet resigns as a non-executive director of the Company with effect from today.
