Akers Biosciences, Inc. (NASDAQ: AKER) (AIM: AKR.L), ("Akers Bio" or the "Company"), a developer of rapid health information technologies, announces that, on October 18, 2018, Richard C. Tarbox III submitted to the board of directors of the Company his resignation as interim Non-Executive Chairman of the Board and as a director of the Company effective immediately.

A Form 8-K regarding this matter will be filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in due course, at which time a further announcement will be made containing the contents of the Form 8-K.
