THE SCOTTISH INVESTMENT TRUST PLC 

DIRECTORATE CHANGE 

The Scottish Investment Trust PLC is pleased to announce that Karyn Lamont has been appointed a non-executive director of the Company and Chair of its Audit Committee, with effect from 1 October 2017.

Karyn worked for over 25 years at PwC, including 13 years as an Audit Partner, specialising in the financial services sector across the UK. Her clients included a number of investment trusts and spanned a broad range of management companies and outsourced service providers.

No other information relating to Karyn is required to be disclosed under Listing Rule 9.6.13.

With the appointment of his successor as Chair of the Audit Committee, Ian Hunter has resigned from the Board, with effect from 30 September 2017.

James Will, Chairman of the Company, commented: "The Board and I would like to thank Ian for his considerable contribution, particularly over the last eighteen months as the Company re-organised a number of its key administrative functions."
