GKN plc – Appointment of Executive Directors

GKN plc announces the appointment of Kevin Cummings, Chief Executive Aerospace, and Phil Swash, Chief Executive Driveline, to the GKN Board with effect from 8 January 2016. They will continue to report to the Group’s Chief Executive, Nigel Stein.

Kevin Cummings was appointed Chief Executive Aerospace in January 2014 and has been a member of the GKN Executive Committee since October 2014. He joined GKN as CEO Aerostructures North America from Alliant Techsystems (ATK) in 2008. Kevin has more than 20 years’ experience in the aerospace industry.

Phil Swash was appointed Chief Executive Driveline in September 2015 and has been a member of the GKN Executive Committee since October 2014. He joined GKN in 2007 as CEO GKN Aerospace Europe having previously worked for Airbus where he was responsible for the wing production of all Airbus aircraft. Prior to taking up his current role, Phil was Chief Executive of the Land Systems division.

Kevin has played a key role in the expansion of our aerospace business with the recent acquisition of Fokker Technologies and Phil has broad experience across our Aerospace, Land Systems and Driveline divisions.
