MITIE Group PLC31 January 2006 MITIE GROUP PLC ('MITIE' or 'the Company') Appointment and retirement of Directors MITIE announces that it has today appointed David Stannard Jenkins FCA as aNon-Executive Director of the Company with effect from 1 March 2006. Mr Jenkins, 61, was a partner in Deloitte & Touche in London for over 30 yearsin their Assurance and Advisory division. As one of the senior partners in theUK he developed a wide range of professional experience and was ManagingDirector of the UK firm's real estate group for many years up to his retirementin 2004. Mr Jenkins holds no directorships in any other publicly quoted companies and hasnot done so in the last 5 years and there are no further details required to bedisclosed pursuant to Listing Rule 9.6.13R in connection with his appointment.Mr Jenkins has no interests in MITIE shares.
