Oxford, UK - March 16, 2017 - Sophos Group plc ("Sophos" or the "Company"; LSE:SOPH), a leading provider of cloud-enabled enduser and network security solutions, announces changes to its Board of Directors.

· Rick Medlock is to be appointed as a non-executive director of the Company, effective from 3 April 2017, becoming a member of the Company's Audit and Risk, and Nomination and Remuneration committees.

· After distinguished service, Ed Gillis is to retire as a non-executive director of the Company and as Chairman of the Company's Audit and Risk Committee, stepping down with effect from the conclusion of the AGM on 7 September 2017. Rick will assume the role of Chairman of the Audit and Risk Committee at the time of Ed's retirement.

Rick has 30 years' of experience in the financial management of large international technology companies. He is currently the chief financial officer at Worldpay Group plc and led the IPO of the company in October 2015. Previously Rick held the position of chief financial officer of Misys and Inmarsat plc as well as a non-executive director and Chairman of the audit committee of Edwards Vacuum (Edwards Group Ltd), a company listed on the Nasdaq exchange until its acquisition by the Atlas Copco Group.
