HaiKe Chemical Group Limited (the "Company"), the AIM quoted (AIM: HAIK) petrochemical, speciality chemical and biochemical business based in China, is pleased to announce that Professor Xiucheng Dong has been appointed as a Non-Executive Director of the Company with immediate effect.

Professor Xiucheng Dong, age 51, is a well-known Energy Economist in China who specialises in the areas of International Economy and Trade, International Oil Economy and Energy Management and Technological Innovation and Management. He has been the Deputy Dean and Professor in the School of Business Administration of China University of Petroleum (Beijing) since 1997, and has been advising the state macro-management departments and major Chinese oil companies on policy making and strategy on a long-term basis. He is a member of the Price Expert Advisory Committee of the China National Development and Reform Commission, a member of the Advisory Expert Group of the China National Oil Reserve Center, a Standing Director of the China Market Economy Research Council and China Petroleum Enterprise Association, and a special commentator for China Central Television Station. Professor Dong graduated from the China University of Petroleum and holds a Doctorate and a Master's degree in Management.

Professor Dong is an independent non-executive director of Xinjiang Huayou Technology Service Co., Ltd. He was an independent non-executive director of Jinzhou Port Company Limited, a public company whose shares are floated on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, from 2004-2010. He holds no ordinary shares in the Company.

Save as disclosed above, there are no further disclosures to be made in relation to Professor Dong under Schedule Two, paragraph (g) (i) - (viii) of the AIM Rules for Companies.
