Amiad (AIM: AFS), a leading global producer of water treatment and filtration solutions, announces that Mr Eli Opper, the Company's Non-Executive Chairman, has informed the Board of Directors of his intention to step down from his position as Chairman and as a Director of Amiad, after completing four years of service, along with the appointment of a new chairman at the annual general meeting of the Company, anticipated for August 2018. Eli Opper will continue to act as Chairman until a new chairman takes office. The Company will commence a search for his replacement and will issue a further announcement in due course.

Eli Opper, Chairman of Amiad, said: "It has been my privilege to serve as the Chairman of Amiad over the last four years. With the implementation of the new strategy and strengthening of the business' foundations, I firmly believe that the Company is poised for growth and enhancing its position as a global leader in the filtration and water treatment industry.
