St. James's Place Capital PLC01 March 2005 St. James's Place Capital plc ("SJPC") Directorate Change As stated in the Chairman's Statement contained within the preliminaryannouncement of results released this morning, SJPC announces an additionalBoard appointment with effect from the Annual General Meeting on 12 May 2005,subject to shareholder approval. Simon Gulliford will join the Board as an independent non-executive director.Simon is Chief Executive of Simon Gulliford Limited an independent marketingconsultancy, prior to which he was the Group Marketing Director of Barclays plc.Other directorships include, William Jackson & Sons Limited and ArchantNewspapers. He was formerly Marketing Development Director of EMAP plc andMarketing Director of Sears plc. He is a Council member of the Marketing Groupof Great Britain and a Fellow of the Marketing Society. There are no circumstances to be disclosed in accordance with the Listing Rule6.F.2(b) - (g) for Simon Gulliford. SJPC also announces the resignation of Lord Weir and Anthony Loehnis asnon-executive directors with effect from the Annual General Meeting on 12 May2005.
