ITV PLC21 September 2005 ITV plc 21st September 2005 Henry Staunton ITV plc announced today that Henry Staunton plans to step down as FinanceDirector. Henry joined Granada Group plc as Finance Director in 1993. During his timewith Granada, Henry oversaw many transformational changes as the business grewthrough a series of acquisitions, including LWT and Forte. Following the mergerwith Compass in 2000 Granada Media was formed as a pure media business. Granadaand Carlton merged in 2004 and Henry was instrumental in the successful deliveryof merger savings and the rapid integration of the two businesses as ITV plc. Henry will remain with ITV until a successor is appointed and recruitmentconsultants are being appointed to advise on that process. Charles Allen, ITV Chief Executive, said: "Henry and I have worked closely together for more than twelve years duringwhich time he has unfailingly delivered on the Board's requirement for strongfinancial control, and has been at the very centre of many major acquisitionsand mergers that have been successfully accomplished. "Henry leaves us with our very best wishes for the future and our thanks to himfor agreeing to stay on until we have located a successor."
