Spiritel PLC21 July 2005 For immediate release 21 July 2005 SPIRITEL PLC ("Spiritel" or "the Company") Appointment of Chief Executive Officer Board Changes Spiritel plc (AIM: STP), the telecommunications services business, is pleased toannounce that it has appointed Alastair Mills, a managing director within theCompany, as the new Chief Executive Officer. Mark Willard, the current ChiefExecutive and the Company's founder, will become President, an executive Boardposition in which his extensive industry experience and innovation will continueto benefit the Company. Alastair Mills, age 32, an experienced telecoms executive, joined Spiritel in2004 as the Managing Director of Expo Communications, the Company's calltermination business. Prior to joining Spiritel, he worked for three years forTelewest, where he was responsible for a voice and data spend of around £100mannually. Before that he worked for five years for audit, accounting andadvisory firm KPMG in consulting and corporate finance roles. Mark Willard founded the Spiritel company Expo Communications in 2000, buildingit up to become one of Europe's leading call termination businesses. Mark willprovide technical, strategic and commercial input to the Company as Spiritel'sPresident, a role that will allow him to continue to innovate in the industry. As part of the Board changes, Sashi Mylvaganam, who was appointed as ChiefOperating Officer and Finance Director in May 2005, will step down from theBoard and from the Company. John Vergopoulos, the Company's Deputy Chairman andits former Finance Director, will oversee the finance function until a FinanceDirector is appointed.
