New Home Group Board member brings wealth of experience
Home Group, one of the UK's largest providers of high-quality housing, health and care, has appointed a new member to its board.
Linda Cullen, a highly experienced psychiatrist, will join the board on June 2 and will help support the organisation's growth in its supported services, especially in Transforming Care.
Linda has worked as a consultant child and adolescent psychiatrist for over 25 years in a wide variety of settings across the Midlands.
She is currently a Non-Executive Director in Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Foundation Trust and also a second opinion doctor working for the Care Quality Commission.
Linda helped to develop early intervention in psychosis services across Birmingham and acute and high dependency child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS) within the West Midlands region, including one of the first CAMHS acute admission wards in the UK.
She worked within the Children's Hospital in Birmingham for several years in clinical lead and director roles. She has also been active in the Royal College of Psychiatrists as a trainer, tutor, examiner and mentor.
John Cridland, Chairman of Home Group's Board, said: "We are delighted to have appointed Linda to the board. She brings with her an absolute wealth of experience and expertise, which we are excited about tapping into.
"We have grown our support services considerably over the past few years, and we are heading into new areas like Transforming Care. Linda's support in this area will be invaluable. She is passionate about raising standards of care for vulnerable people, and is always looking to drive change and improve quality of services and care."
