Beazley Group PLC07 September 2006 Press Release Appointment of New Non-Executive Director London, UK, September 7, 2006 - Beazley Group plc (BEZ.L), is pleased toannounce the appointment of Gordon Hamilton as an independent, non-executivedirector, with effect from 8th September 2006. He will also join Beazley's auditand remuneration committees. Gordon has over 30 years experience as an audit partner at Deloitte & Touche LLPand its predecessor practices, specialising in UK listed company audits, withextensive experience of board and audit committees. He has been involved widely in forensic accounting as an expert witness inseveral major audit negligence cases and in the resolution of large commercialdisputes. Since 2002 he has also been a member of the Financial Reporting ReviewPanel, an Operating Body of the Financial Reporting Council, the UK'sindependent regulator for corporate reporting and governance.
