Cue Energy Plc28 March 2007 28 March 2007 CUE ENERGY PLC (the "Company") Chairman Appointment The Board of Cue Energy plc announces the appointment of Mr Martin HallowellThomas AM FTSE (aged 73), as non-executive Chairman, with immediate effect. As a former Principal of Australian consulting engineers Sinclair Knight Merz,Mr Thomas has an extensive engineering career history in the power and energysector including renewable and sustainable technologies and has been responsiblefor numerous power generation and energy management projects globally. Mr Thomas was founding Managing Director of the Australian Cooperative ResearchCentre for Renewable Energy and Greenhouse Gas Abatement Technologies (ACRE). Heis a past President of the Institution of Engineers, Australia, pastVice-President of the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences andEngineering and past President of the Australian Institute of Energy. He hasbeen Chairman of the Australian National Team for the International EnergyAgency's Centre for Analysis and Dissemination of Demonstrated EnergyTechnologies (CADDET) and is an immediate past Director of EnviroMissionLimited, a company established to build the world's first commercial solartower. Other previous roles include founding chairmanship of the industry exportgroup Austenergy, Chairman of the Olympic Energy Advisory Panel, Chairman of theNew South Wales Electricity Council and Deputy Chairman of Australian InlandEnergy and Water serving Broken Hill. He recently concluded his role with theAustralian Prime Minister's Uranium Mining, Processing and Nuclear Energy ReviewTaskforce (UMPNER). Mr Thomas currently is Chairman of Dulhunty Power Limited, a company active inthe electro technology field which is listed on the ASX. Mr Thomas also works asa technology consultant to the Tyree Group and is an advisor to the board of ZBBEnergy Corporation. In 1993, Mr Thomas was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia for servicesto engineering and energy management and was awarded an Australian CentenaryMedal in 2003. Mr Chris Lambert, who now stands down as Chairman but will remain in the role ofnon-executive director, said "I am delighted to welcome someone of Mr Thomas'calibre to the board. His wealth of experience in the energy sector will be agreat asset for the future success of the Company."
